This course allows students to write a graduate-level thesis on a topic of each student's choosing. We will spend the fall semester narrowing and focusing on a topic by reading, writing, thinking, and discussing. After studying virtually at the UT Fine Arts Library and the Smithsonian Museum and the Library of Congress in October and November, we will finish up the fall semester by writing Chapter 1. The subsequent 3 chapters we will write in the spring, and we will conclude the year with a final presentation.
