Astronomy is the study of celestial objects and phenomena beyond Earth's atmosphere, including planets, stars, galaxies and the universe as a whole. It explores the origins, structure, and evolution of these systems while applying principles of physics and mathematics to understand how they work.
A high school Astronomy student is is expected to have completed Algebra I and at least one year of high school science course such as: IPC, Chemistry or Physics.
Due to the unprecedented nature of the school year, Astronomy is evolving the timeline to meet the needs of students. I have attached a link you can click to see what we are doing for the immediate future.
