My name is Darcie Gilde, and I’m a Career and Technical Education teacher at Westlake High School with over 20 years of experience in technology education. I design my camps to be challenging and engaging, using industry-standard software to give students real-world skills. With small camp sizes, I’m able to provide personalized support to each student. I’m passionate about inspiring young minds and equipping them for success in today’s technology-driven world.

Become a Digital Artist and learn Adobe Photoshop! During the camp students will create pixel art, digital collage, compositions and photo manipulation. Campers will learn how create their digital art directly on the screen of 22HD Wacom drawing tablet.
No prior computer experience required. Recommended for students in grades 3rd through 8th.
June 2nd- 6th 9 am -12:00 pm
Students will learn classic animation using light boards and then move on to more modern animation in Adobe Animate. During the camp students will create Claymation, Stop Motion, Stick Figure animation and more! Animation techniques such as time lines, key framing, motion tweening, onion skinning, timing, and spacing will be taught.
No prior computer experience required. Recommended for students in grades 3rd through 8th.

Design and print your own 3D models! Students will learn how to create 3D models in Maya using 3D tools. See first hand how this new technology is changing our world in fields such as medicine and construction. Students will also learn how to print their 3D model on a classroom Markerbot Replicator II 3D printer.
No prior 3D experience required. Recommended for students in grades 4th through 8th.

Video games are a multi-billion dollar industry and one of the leading forms of entertainment in the world. This camp provides students with an array of skills required in this exciting industry. Students will learn concepts and tools to create levels, models, and mechanics for games using the game engine Unreal Engine 5. This camp will give students a start and glimpse into the fascinating world of game design.
Some prior computer experience required. Recommended for students in grades 4th through 8th.
