Course Overview
MAPS is a one semester course offered to 7th & 8th grade students that focus on the skills necessary for students to be successful.
Topics
Executive functioning skills to be covered include: time management, goal setting, organization, planning, study skills/habits, perseverance, task initiation, positive attitude, resilience, and character education.
Supplies
All students will need to purchase a planner (notebook sized, full calendar year)
Fully charged iPad
Homework from other classes
A personal book to read for after work is finished
Copy of text we are currently reading in class

Grading Expectations
Class Participation – 100%
Students will earn weekly grades based on improving their executive functioning skills through assignments and weekly grade checks.
Class Procedures
The following must be brought to class every day:
Charged iPad
Homework for all classes
Book - if you are up to date on all work
A planner
Students are expected to check the following daily:
Skyward
Check it every day to keep up with grades
Google Classroom
Check it every day for assignments
Turn in assignments on time
School Email
Check email often
Communicate with your teachers about tests and assignments
