Welcome to English 8 and 8 Honors for the 2024-2025 school year.  Our curriculum, as always, is driven by the Texas Essential Skills and Knowledge (otherwise known as TEKS) formed by the Texas Education Association (TEA).  While the skills covered are standard from school to school across the state, the methods by which they are explored and taught can vary.  Students will write and learn grammar through the context of the readings in class comprised of short stories, novels, poems and articles.  Honors students perform tasks with increased depth and complexity in order to feel challenged.
