I grew up in Houston, and I moved to Austin to study at the University of Texas. I'm a proud alum of the Plan II Honors Program (class of 2015). During undergrad, I played middle blocker on the UT men's club volleyball team and I also worked as an associate editor at the Daily Texan.
This is my sixth year in education and my fourth year at Westlake. I previously taught geometry at a middle school in Austin, and before that, I worked as a journalist covering the Texas Legislature. I also worked briefly at a newspaper in Berlin, Germany. In my free time I enjoy reading, cycling, and swimming.
I love to teach. My mission is to help students feel confident in their mathematical abilities so they may notice and apply mathematical problem-solving in their daily lives.
