After a couple of very challenging years for many of us, Eagles Corner made the pivotal decision to relocate from our Yackandandah home to join forces with Impact Recovery in beautiful Bendigo.
Our new partnership allows us to focus on our experience of integrating Deaf and Hearing cultures, while the Residential Therapeutic and educational framework will be provided by Impact Recovery. Eagles Corner provides Auslan accessible services to assist with Alcohol and Drug recovery, Mental Health support, navigating the NDIS and Deaf Awareness training.
As is often the case with smaller regional communities, post-secondary education, training and employment prospects in rural towns are scarce, meaning that many young people tend to move into more populous towns/cities to pursue longer-term opportunities. Rural Victoria is also experiencing high unemployment levels and an increase in the use of recreational drugs, especially among young people.
The combination of these situations creates a critical need for projects that offer local education, training and employment opportunities to engage otherwise disaffected and those who may be at risk of descending into situations of chronic drug addiction and long-term unemployment.
Eagles Corner is modelled on the highly successful community Michael and Michelle visited in Italy - San Patrignano – it’s an inspiring example of how a restoration community provides practical means to aiding remarkable transformations in individual lives, leading to positive flow-on effects for specific families and community as a whole.

Eagles Corner’s purpose is to empower the Deaf and Hard of Hearing by building bridges to connect, contribute and participate in the wider community. We provide opportunities through Deaf friendly services in Auslan and assist with navigating the NDIS while ensuring improved access and inclusion.
We continue to evolve and adapt to meet the diverse needs of our clients to set and achieve their goals, gain additional life skills and to improve overall wellbeing.
Our collaboration with likeminded organisations allows us to offer individual support for those with life controlling issues including Mental Health, addiction and social isolation.
