Purpose: This class is meant to provide students an opportunity to participate personal wellness activities each week in their quest to improve health and create healthy habits.
How: Students will engage in a variety of physical fitness activities such as walking, running, team/individual sports, yard work, yoga, biking, hiking etc. Students can also get credit for classes such as First Aid, 12 Step Programs and Counseling.
All activities must be approved by a facilitator in order for credit to be awarded. Out-of-school activities must be documented by the student and submitted monthly on a signed tracking sheet.
Support: Students will be provided with weekly tutorials and new ideas for staying healthy and fit each week and have access to google classroom to share new ideas, ask questions, find and get support as needed.
Credit: This class is a .5 P.E. Credit. Students earn 4 points for every hour logged. 300 points needed to complete this course
Documenting Progress: Student should record their progress each week on the Activity Log to keep track of progress. Form is linked below and in Google Classroom.
It is easy to forget all of the activities you may do in a given week so please be sure to keep you activity log updated weekly. Activity log Provided in Google Classroom and below. You may print out an activity tracker or complete digital version below - your choice!
