The SUNY Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) is a state-funded initiative designed to help talented New York State students achieve their dream of going to college.
For more than 50 years, EOP has created opportunities for promising students to overcome financial and academic barriers, enroll in college, and thrive.

Who is Eligible for EOP?
To be considered for admission to EOP, you must:
Be a NYS resident for 12 months prior to enrollment
Have earned a high school diploma or its equivalent
Meet EOP academic eligibility requirements
(academic eligibility varies by campus)Meet income eligibility guidelines established by New York State Education Department
Enroll as a full-time student
