District Information for Dual Enrollment Participation
College Connections is a collaboration between JCC and its partner school districts. The program allows students to earn concurrent high school and college credit by completing JCC courses taught in high schools by highly qualified, JCC-trained and supported teachers.
The content, assignments, projects, and assessments in College Connections courses are consistent with those taught on the JCC campus. College Connections students work towards the same outcomes as those enrolled in on-campus courses. Students who successfully complete College Connections courses earn JCC credit, which is verified by an official transcript.
Students interested in taking a dual enrollment course should talk with their school counselor.

Fredonia High School Guidance and Counseling Office
The guidance program at Fredonia High School helps students in their educational, vocational, social, and emotional development. It provides a continuous, planned program of activities, instructional presentations, individual counseling sessions, and group counseling sessions designed to meet each student's developmental needs.
The Guidance Department includes a Career Center, which students are encouraged to use for career exploration. It houses materials on careers, postsecondary educational opportunities, financial aid, scholarships, the armed forces, and resume development and job-seeking skills. Also available in the Career Center is a computerized guidance information program that students can utilize. Students may use the Career Center during free periods, lunch, after school, or during vacation.
The counselors work cooperatively with students, teachers, and parents to provide the optimal educational program for each student and to guide the development of the student's future goals. Conferences are encouraged whenever a concern needs to be addressed. Every student meets with their counselor individually during the spring scheduling conference to assess the current year's work, develop the following year's course selection, and discuss future plans.
