The Self-Managed Student: Using Tech to Build Executive Functioning & Independence
April 20, 2026
12:00 - 3:00
In-person
The ultimate goal of classroom management is for students to manage themselves. This workshop focuses on explicitly teaching students how to use technology to support their own learning and focus. We will explore digital planners, task-list apps, focus timers, and other simple tools that help students break down large projects, manage deadlines, and take ownership of their work. This is a powerful way to build the executive functioning skills essential for success in school and beyond.
April 23, 2026
9:30 - 11:00
Online/Zoom
This workshop is intended for new high school math teachers, or math teachers that will be scoring the June math Regents exams. Current teachers who have not received recent training regarding NYSED policies and procedures for scoring would also benefit from this session.
