Curriculum

Language Arts

HMH Into Reading is differentiated by design to offer research-based literacy instruction, developing a culture of learning and growth, and help all learners believe in the power of "I can."

Focused on introductory reading skills and comprehension, the ELA courses include the five essential components of reading: phonemic awareness, phonics, comprehension, vocabulary and fluency. Students will read informative and literary texts, practice writing, grammar, and speaking and listening skills.

95% Group

This program serves as a phonics and word study strand that enriches the other important strands of a school’s existing literacy program, including read-alouds, oral language and vocabulary.

Math

IM K–12 Math is a problem-based core curriculum designed to address content and practice standards to foster learning for all. Students learn by doing math, solving problems in mathematical and real-world contexts, and constructing arguments using precise language. Kindergarten focuses on these domains: counting and cardinality, operations and algebraic thinking, number and operations in base ten, measurement and data, geometry.
