Ms. Check

My name is Stephanie Check and I will be your child's Kindergarten teacher. This is my second year teaching Kindergarten and my third year at Parkview. I have previously taught second grade here at Parkview. I have also worked with various grade levels, ranging from Preschool to fifth grade.

I graduated from Michigan State University (GO Green, GO White), with a major in Elementary Education, specializing in Language Arts, and an Early Childhood Education endorsement. I am currently working on my Masters in Education from Michigan State University.

I live with my mom, dad, brother, and miniature schnauzer Brody. In my free time, I enjoy working out at my gym, reading, and spending time with my dog.

As a young girl, I loved going to school and learning. I was very good at reading and had excellent penmanship. I would come home from school everyday and teach my dolls and stuffed animals what I learned in school that day, as if I were their teacher. I knew right away, at a young age, that I wanted to become a teacher. I love interacting with younger children because they always bring a smile to my face. I think my favorite and most memorable teachers were my Kindergarten and First Grade teachers and I want to be a teacher that makes an impact on each and every child that I teach.
