Ms. Check

My name is Stephanie Check and I will be your child's third grade teacher. This is my second year teaching third grade and my fifth year teaching overall. I have previously taught second grade and most recently, Kindergarten.

I graduated from Michigan State University (GO Green, GO White), with a major in Elementary Education, specializing in Language Arts, and an Early Childhood Education endorsement. I recently earned my Master of Arts in Education, with a focus on Literacy Instruction and working on my Master of Arts in Educational Technology from Michigan State University.

My family consists of my mom, dad, brother, and miniature schnauzer Brody. In my free time, I enjoy working out, reading, and spending time with my dog.

As a young girl, I loved going to school and learning. I was very good at reading and had excellent penmanship. I would come home from school everyday and teach my dolls and stuffed animals what I learned in school that day, as if I were their teacher. I knew right away, at a young age, that I wanted to become a teacher. I love interacting with younger children because they always bring a smile to my face. I think my favorite and most memorable teachers were my Kindergarten and First Grade teachers and I want to be a teacher that makes an impact on each and every child that I teach.
