Imagination Campus, Disneyland Resort, 2024
Under the direction of Mr. Badsgard and Mrs. Kaiser, Afterglow is Sunset Hills' advanced choir group. This ensemble is comprised of our advanced singers in 7th & 8th grades. Members work to build confidence and lasting friendships through performance. Afterglow performs throughout the year at school and off-campus concerts and throughout the community, when opportunities arise. For eight years, this ensemble has been featured in performances in Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure Park in Anaheim, CA. Afterglow rehearses during the school day, but students who intend to participate in our Disney performance must commit to additional after-school rehearsal and fundraising requirements.

Under the direction of Mr. Badsgard, Moonrise is our junior varsity choir for students in 5th & 6th grades. Members explore rudimentary singing technique, and develop skills to train their growing voices. Moonrise performs at both on-and off-campus events in order to develop positive relationships with their peers and have memorable experiences to grow their love of music. This performing group that meets in classes by grade level during the course of the school day. This ensemble performs multiple school concerts throughout the year, and establishes the foundation for vocal music performance at Sunset Hills.
CATS, The Vista Center for the Arts, 2024
This exciting experience is open to all K-8 students at Sunset Hills! Each year, we stage a large-scale production at one of our district high school performing arts centers. Supporting our student actors is a full production team, and community of dedicated parent and family volunteers. Audition packets are published in early September, and rehearsal schedules run from September through February. This year's production will be performed at The Vista Center for the Arts in Surprise in February.
