Computer Graphics and Digital Design 3-4

This project-based course is designed to go beyond the skills developed in Computer Graphics and Digital Design 1-2. The course emphasis will be on teaching students advanced Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat techniques. Additionally, students will apply sophisticated layout, design and graphic creation processes in the production of a wide variety of real-world print, web, and digital media artifacts such as large-format posters, newsletters, brochures, magazine covers, presentations, media covers, promo­tional materials, and specialized graphical effects.

Classroom Materials:

Required

  • A composition note book or a binder with dividers and loose leaf paper.

  • A pen or pencil for note taking

Recommended

  • Coloring pencils for sketching thumbnails and roughs. (I also have coloring pencils that can be shared with the rest of the class)

  • A minimum of a two gigabyte portable USB thumb drive is also recommended for backup and archival purposes (This can be shared for all of your classes). This will also provide the opportunity to work on some projects at home or share completed projects with the family.
