Mrs. McBrayer

Hello, my name is Kara McBrayer and I will be your child's Fourth Grade Writing teacher. I have been teaching for thirty years and have taught various grade levels, including college mathematics! I graduated from State University of New York - Plattsburgh with a Bachelors in Elementary Education and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. I also have an Associates in Mathematics and one in Science. 

I have a husband aka DJ Don-Yo who DJs for our monthly assemblies, two children and two grandchildren (with one more grandchild in December 2023, making it three grandchildren). Some of my favorite hobbies are reading, hiking, outdoor activities, and playing with our dog Shiloh. 

My students enjoy the stories I tell about my home state of New York and the travels made across the globe. I use many of these stories as examples in the writing of essays and short stories we make throughout the year.
