In the mornings, students will walk to their classrooms through the main gate in the front of the school. School staff will continue to guide students to the correct classrooms.

Parents are required to check in through the office for any visit to the classroom, including before and after school. Please schedule a time to meet with me or to visit our classroom in action.

Please have your child wear clothes that are appropriate for running and climbing. We strongly recommend closed-toe shoes. You may also send a water bottle to school to keep in the classroom, especially during these hot weeks. No juice, sports drinks, or sodas, please!

At dismissal, our first grade team will help your child learn their after-school routine. Here are the guidelines we follow:
At dismissal, our first grade team will help your child learn their after-school routine. Here are the guidelines we follow:
* Parent pick-up: The first grade dismissal area is directly to the west of the front office, in front of the library. Students will wait behind the designated cone and raise their hands when they see their adult or older sibling. For safety reasons, the teacher on duty individually dismisses each student. We realize the parking lot can be congested so if you have to pick up students from multiple grade levels, we ask that you park your car in the parking lot and leave the drive-through loop open.

For ALL students: We understand that occasionally, after-school plans change. Please know that we must have confirmation of these changes (note in agenda, email the day before, phone call to office, etc.) before we can change which dismissal location your child goes to.
