All children are capable of appropriate behavior when given clear expectations and are taught how to think through behavior choices before making them. Our classroom rules are simple, easy to remember, and will be taught throughout the year:
Be respectful
Be responsible
Be kind
What is FFBI?
Falcon Family Behavior Intervention System is a whole school three-tier approach to decreasing disruptive behaviors and increasing student success that includes:
Proactive strategies for defining, teaching, and supporting appropriate student behaviors to create positive school environments.
Positive behavior support for all students within a school is implemented in areas including the classroom and non-classroom settings (such as hallways, buses, and restrooms).
Attention is focused on creating and sustaining systems of support that improve lifestyle results (personal, health, social, family, work, recreation) for all students.
At Western Peaks, we are a #FalconFamily and we are Respectful, Responsible and Kind. Students are reinforced for demonstrating respect, responsibility and kindness behaviors through tickets (Falcon Wings) that will be handed out by staff. Prize drawings using the tickets will be held daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly.
Students who do not follow the respectful, responsible and kind behavior expectations, will be held accountable using the behavior flowchart.
