Sophia- It's my first year in Moxie Girls, and I'm excited for the future years to come. While in the Moxie Girls, I have been able to learn so many new things, and advance some knowledge I already had. One thing I have learned so far is coding Lego robots that we as a team have built. Moxie Girls really incorporates core values into the club as well, and I have even improved working with a team, and including everyone´s ideas. This year, and in years to follow, we´re including STEAM into the projects we have completed. Being in Moxie Girls improves my self esteem, with the kind community the club surrounds us in. A big part of Moxie Girls is to also have fun, and enjoy others company. Moxie Girls helps us prepare for possible future jobs in STEAM fields. STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, arts, and math, and being surrounded in a STEAM involved club, I know it will help a lot to know in the future. One of my favorite aspects about Moxie Girls is the idea that everyone will be involved and participating in the present project. In 7th grade, it becomes more and more important to include girls in technology.
Hello my name is Sophie and this is my first year in Moxie Girls! It has been tons of fun and a lot of work but it has all been worth it. The things we have done in here have been so much fun! And It has been a lot of hard work but even though it's been so much fun and I was able to reconnect with people. And I will remember all the fun times we've had in here. It's been a great time and thank you so much to Mrs. Scofield for letting me be apart of this amazing club.

Maggie- Hi! This is my first year in Moxie Girls and I am having so much fun and learning a lot! I am in seventh grade and I think it is important to be interested in STEAM and computer science now so I can gain a love and passion for it and be as prepared as possible for having a job that incorporates it. I think I already accomplished my first goal of gaining a love and passion for STEAM and computer science! I think the biggest thing I have learned from Moxie Girls is teamwork and cooperation. All of the Moxies work together on every single project we do! Working so closely with these amazing girls has been fun and we learn a lot from each other and help each other in whatever way we can. Moxie Girls means a lot to me, and I can wait to have even more great experiences in this club!
Hello! My name is Eve! This is my second year of Moxie Girls. In this club we work hard and play hard. We work together to achieve goals and help each other when ever possible. As Moxie Girls we love to code and have fun doing it! I like to code the EV3 bricks and I am learning how to code from scratch. Sadly as an eighth grader this will be my last year being a Moxie Girl since I am going to High School next year. This though will not stop me from having new experiences and tinkering with new technologies. In this club I have learned the value of leadership, using my planning skills, and coding with the flow! I am so excited to see where this year will lead us from learning new technologies to helping others code!
Hello my name is Taya Cinamon. This is my first year in Moxie Girls. So far I am having a great time here. In Moxie Girls you learn how to code and do computer science. You get to work in groups and develop into a leader. When you're in Moxie Girls you learn all this stuff you thought you knew before, but you don't. Before I came to Moxie Girls I had some experience. I took a club called Coding Combat in 4th grade. This year they added a STEM teacher to our school named Mr. Lane. Thanks to Moxie Girls and STEM, I know way more about computer science then I ever knew before. Also, Moxie Girls encourages girls to do computer science and that girls can do anything if they put their mind to it!
Hi my name is Yulianna and I am in Moxie Girls. Moxie Girls is this club where there are girls that are introduced to science, technology, engineering, art, math, or STEAM. In Moxie Girls we get to work with other girls to build things. We work very hard and we have fun doing it at the same time. We get together and we start on something new and we get done with it.
Kayla-
Hi, I'm in sixth-grade and I love Mickey Mouse and Yulianna. Also I am in a club called Moxie Girls and we do robotics and technology. We talk about trying to get girls to join because most people think that girls can't do things. So, we focus on STEM, and how to love yourself and trust yourself. Also, how to be on a team and be a great team member.
Hey I'm Jaden and I've been in Moxie Girls for 1 year. I'm in 6th grade and hobbies I enjoy are softball, going on walks, playing basketball, and hanging out with friends. My favorite part about Moxie Girls is having lots of fun doing teamwork activities. A really fun part about Moxie Girls was when we had the big tournament of coding. In Moxie Girls we build with legos, code, play with drones, etc... I'm really looking forward to doing Moxie Girls next year.
Hello my name is Jeannette and I have been a part of the Moxie Girls club for three years, since sixth grade. I am currently in eighth grade and can doubtlessly say that this club is one of the multiple reasons I do not want to move on to high school. This is more than just a club it is a family that has taught me to believe, trust, and love myself. It has given me reason to think I can conquer any dream I want to achieve. This adventure has formed a wonderful part of my life.
Bailey- My name is Bailey and I am in seventh grade. The year of 2018-2019 was my first year of Moxie Girls. I did´t really know what to expect except that it was an all girls club focused on stem. This club has taught me that stem shouldn´t be just for boys. Since I have entered this club, I have a whole new view of stem. Next year I will hopefully join Moxie Girls. I hope that all girls are inspired by stem and technology and more girls will get jobs that are influenced in stem.
Hi! My name is Olivia . Ever since I was really young I have always been inspired by all types of engineering and technology. When I heard about Moxie Girls I immediately wanted to join. Now, I have so much fun learning about drones and robots and so much more amazing stuff.
Hi, my name is Prachi. I am new to Moxie Girls this year, it will be my first and last year in this club. The club sounded interesting to me because of all the fun things that the girls of this club did. Participating in the first Lego league and being part of the international drone day here at SV as a moxie girls is super cool and fun.
Reese-
Hello, I am an 8th grader at Sierra Verde. I am a 14 year old girl that is in a computer science club called Moxie Girls. Last year when I rejoined this school in 7th grade, I had Mr. Foote as a teacher and he opened so many doors for me to see how many different ways science can change your life. Then when I joined 8th grade, I had heard about the club called Moxie Girls and knew I had to join. Moxie Girls has been an awesome experience and a huge privilege. I can't see my self without Moxie Girls or anybody in the club. This year I will never forget thanks to Mrs. Scofield and Moxie Girls!
Madeline-
Hey! I'm Madeline, a sixth grade girl in the computer science club called Moxie Girls. Over the course of the summer, I went to a STEM camp in Colorado (Envision) and then I realized how amazing computer science/STEM is. Realizing my new passion opened up a new world of possibilities. When I started school this year, I heard about Moxie Girls, a coding club JUST FOR GIRLS, and I applied immediately. This year has been so fun lately, ever since First Lego Leauge, I have always wanted to do more! Can't wait to keep doing computer science this year!!
