Special Education Certification

Course Work

In order to prepare for certification, a robust and rigorous program of study has been designed to include the fundamental pedagogical and practical elements of special education. Taught by experts in the field, each course is filled with information that can be taken back to the classroom the very next day.

Field Supervision

Teacher-interns are placed in classrooms with fully-appointed teaching contracts. However, to best support teachers in their classrooms, each teacher-intern has 12 classroom visits per school year to engage in planning and reflective conversations and to practice a variety of instructional strategies.
