For Administrators of TPP Teachers
Special Education
Special Ed TPP teachers CANNOT write IEPs until they have successfully completed their IEP Writing Course.
Even after they have completed the course, they will need support to ensure compliance.
Special Ed TPP teachers should be collecting data for their students regardless of where they are in the program.
SSS has provided TPP teachers with an IEP shell to help them learn the IEP while lessening the work load on their teammates that may be writing the IEP.
General Education
General Education TPPs will need support with classroom management.
They begin with an asynchronous Canvas course about routines, procedures, and Teacher Clarity, but they may need some reminders to complete it (and to implement some of the ideas presented).
Regardless of the position that they fill, all Gen. Ed TPPs must complete the 90 hour literacy requirement for certification.
Teachers in 6-8 departmentalized contexts must pass the subject knowledge test.
