About LEAD

What is LEAD?

Leading Enrichment Afterschool in Del Valle (LEAD) is a free Del Valle ISD program offering a wide variety of afterschool enrichment opportunities for students in grades Pre-K-12 at district elementary, middle and high school campuses.

LEAD students have the opportunity to participate in an extensive variety of class topics including academics, athletics, fine arts, college, career & military readiness, social emotional learning and leadership. Many classes include extended learning opportunities for students which include guest speakers, field trips, service learning projects and community connections. LEAD provides a wide variety of events for students to showcase the knowledge and skills they learn throughout the program including competitions, tournaments and district wide showcases. Classes are led by school day staff, teachers and community partner organizations.

Our Mission

The mission of the Del Valle ISD LEAD after school program is to provide a variety of experiential learning opportunities with the purpose of enhancing student academic achievement, encouraging family and community engagement, and empowering students to become productive 21st Century Leaders.
