Every summer we travel to two great cities with a group of 8th graders. Students spend months learning about these historic locations; now they can experience them first-hand. We will spend 3 days in Washington DC and 3 more days in New York City exploring and learning about our nation's history. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included in the cost. There is also travel insurance and overnight security. See some of the tour highlights below.

Travel
We leave on a red eye flight the night before the tour begins. We land in DC bright and early in the morning where we are greeting by our tour director and bus. Then the tour begins. On the morning of the 3rd day, we are driven to New York City where we arrive just before dinner.

Our $50,000 annual travel scholarship
We believe every student should have the opportunity to discover the history, culture and beauty of North America firsthand. The Explorer Scholarship is one way we help make that possible. Every year we award $50,000 worth of scholarships to select students from around the country.
Applying for this needs-based scholarship:
Have your child write a brief essay (no more than 250 words) answering the question, "Why do you want to go on this EF Explore America Tour?"
A parent/guardian must complete the Explorer Scholarship application.
