A word that connects words, phrases, or clauses.
Example: and, but, or, because
→ I want pizza and pasta.
A word that describes or modifies a verb, adjective, or another adverb (often ends in -ly).
Example: quickly, very, well
→ She sings beautifully.
A word or phrase that shows strong feeling or sudden emotion.
Example: Wow!, Oh!, Ouch!→ Wow!
That was amazing.
A word that shows the relationship between a noun (or pronoun) and another word in the sentence.
Example: in, on, under, between
→ The book is on the table.
A word that shows action or a state of being.
Example: run, is, think
→ They run every morning.
A word that describes or modifies a noun or pronoun.
Example: happy, blue, tall
→ The tall man waved at us.
A word that takes the place of a noun.
Example: he, she, it, they
→ She is my best friend.
A word that names a person, place, thing, or idea.
Example: dog, city, happiness
→ The dog ran through the park.
