‘It is not enough that teachers’ work should be studied: they need to study it themselves’, (Stenhouse,1975).
This year, after so much disruption and change, there is a real need to reflect and revisit the fundamentals of good teaching and learning and to ask ourselves 'What can I do to improve my practice?' The four strands of disaggregated PD are designed to provide depth and choice to staff, enabling to them to engage with evidence and to examine whether it can improve student experience and outcomes in their subject. Each strand will embed a practical project and afford the opportunity for staff to be informally observed, culminating in the sharing of good practice. A maximum of two strands can be selected which will account for 20 hours of disaggregated time.
