Course Descriptions

Beginning Concert Band Woodwinds is the foundation of band to learn the basic techniques of playing a woodwind instrument. Students will experience a few fun performances throughout the year as well as music festival field trips. They will learn how to play the flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, alto saxophone, or horn in an ensemble environment. Students gain valuable beginner musical skills and knowledge with concerts, small group unit, pop tunes unit, and modern music unit. 

Beginning Concert Band Brass is the foundation of band to learn the basic techniques of playing a brass instrument. Students will experience a few fun performances throughout the year as well as music festival field trips. They will learn how to play the trumpet, trombone, euphonium, tuba, or percussion in an ensemble environment. Students gain valuable beginner musical skills and knowledge with concerts, small group unit, pop tunes unit, and modern music unit.
