Pumpkins must be set up at the gazebo at Dunellen HarvestFest on Sunday, October 11, by 11:00 AM. The results of the judging will be announced at 2:15 PM on Sunday, October 11, 2026. Judges' decisions are final.
Pumpkins may be carved or decorated. Ideas – use paints, markers, water color, paste, fabric, rope, hair, cardboard, construction paper, pipe cleaners or any combination of materials to decorate your pumpkin. Materials used may not be hazardous. Hazardous materials include rusty or sharp items, pyrotechnics, etc. All materials must be attached securely.
No pumpkin may depict a real person (aka effigy).
All pumpkins must be in good taste or will be removed.
There are three (3) categories for competition:
Adults (Industry, Business, Club, Group, or Individual)
Children (School, Club, Group, or Individual)
Fan Favorite
No Registration Fees. Non-Dunellen residents may participate. Entrance into the contest implies parental consent to have photos of artwork/ student artists printed in the Dunellen Report, on Dunellen411.com (website and Facebook), and other local media.
