Entries closed midnight Saturday 10th April 2021.
There will be no Entry on the Day options for any of the events, as all our maps are printed in Dunedin in advance of the events
We would love volunteer help from anyone! Please email Fraser Stephens to offer your help.
Note that the events will take place only if the whole of the South Island is at Covid Alert Level 1.
The National MTBO Champs, precede these foot orienteering events. All these events are combined in the same entry system. For information, go to https://www.mtbochamps.nz/
If Covid Alert Levels are fluctuating in either direction at the beginning of April, the decision day as to whether the events will proceed is entry closing day Saturday 10th April. Should the Covid Alert Level change from 1 to 2 between the 10th April and the 17th April, the events will immediately be postponed/cancelled.
Shadowed children must enter the 10N courses. Only unshadowed children should enter their age grades. For the Sprint, adults must run first, then accompany their children, who will be recorded on the computer system as NC (non-competitive).
Arrangements for split starts for child-care arrangements, or flexibility for club helpers, will be made upon request to entries@dunedinorienteering.org
If you're not sure about the Sprint Relay options, just enter it. You'll confirm relay combinations the day before, at the Long Distance event. We just need to know well in advance approximately how many sets of maps to print.
- Full refunds of entry fees are available for any reason up to the closing date for entries minus an entry administration fee of 5%.
- Requests for non-Covid related entry refunds after the closing date for entries (for example due to participant illness, accident or hardship) will be considered on a case-by-case basis by the organisers, based on a 50% refund.
- In line with Government advice, we ask that participants do not attend NZ MTBO Champs / SIC if they are unwell or are at risk of recent contact with a person with Covid-19. In this situation, please contact the organisers before the event to be granted a full refund (minus the 5%).
- If a participant registered online at Alert Level 1 but the Alert Level in their home town changed to 2 before or during the events, a 75% refund will be paid on request for all race days on which a participant decides not to compete.
Refer to the entry system.
$3 SI hire per competitor per event Please ensure each competitor has their own SI stick for the weekend, ie: do not make arrangements to share SI sticks amongst people, across this multiday. These are non SIAC sticks.
