C2 MOBILITY IN OSLO
Erasmus+ C2 Oslo visit
At the start of October 2023, it was time for the art departments of all partner schools to go out and explore EcoArt in Olso. During this week we discussed making art education more sustainable.
Every morning we had a plenary session with EcoArt as the topic, and in the afternoon we went out. We visited the Munch museum, the Opera House, the sculpture park (Vigelandpark) and the Astrup museum. Lots to see and do in this cosmopolitan city! Fortunately the sun was shining too.
It was useful to hear and see what other schools are already doing in the field of sustainability in and around art lessons, and to have valuable discussions with these schools and exchange ideas. The EcoArt workshops made us think about how we approach art at our schools, which allowed us to adjust our view on sustainable lessons.
We ended the week nicely with an electric cruise along the fjords around Oslo. Over the next few weeks, the arts departments of each school worked on collecting residual material and creating an assignment. We are currently rewriting an existing assignment. We are also to re-examining where we get our materials from.
We will share the assignments we make with other teachers, and surrounding schools and community.
