FOCUS Classes

FOCUS - For Organization, Completion, Understanding, and Success

Every day when you come in to FOCUS, put your planner on the tables for the Lead Tutor to review, and fill out the Get FOCUSed Form. Tutors will come around and help out as needed.

Procedures in FOCUS:

• Be on time and on task, and work quietly so as not to disturb others.
• Work bell to bell.
• Ask the lead tutor before leaving the room.
• Wear your Student ID.
• Complete your planner for every subject every day.
• Fill out the Get FOCUSed Form in complete, grammatically correct sentences every day. Be specific!
• Write your grade percentages for all classes in your planner every Monday, and run your missing assignments report. Be prepared for your grade conference with your lead tutor every Tuesday.
• Get help - not just with content areas, but with organization and study skills as necessary.
• When you have sustained improved grades for a significant amount of time, fill out the release form.
