Per DUSD board policies BP 6146.11 and AR 6146.11, a high school student may receive up to the maximum 40 alternative credits for grades 9 - 12 with no more than 20 units in any one subject area. A high school student must receive prior confirmation that the alternative credit will be accepted for the district credit and the specific number of credits that will be applied prior to enrolling in the class. Students are responsible for meeting the prerequisites for the course prior to registration.Â
Note: Requests from incoming 9th graders will be reviewed for approval by a DHS counselor after the spring break prior to entering high school.
