Mentor Expectations
FMP will be taking place in the 2023-24 school year during Contemporary Health class, once a week for 30 minutes during Guided Gael in both Dublin High School and Emerald High School classes.
As a mentor, you will be assigned to a classroom that you will attend on Tuesday or Wednesday during your Gael period for the first 30 minutes. You may be absent only for health reasons. Appointments should not be scheduled during this time.
A mentor will be required to attend training, twice a month during lunch to learn and build on your skills of being an effective mentor. If you are apart of other clubs, you will need to make Lunch and Learn a priority and miss the club meeting that week.
The mentor commitment lasts the entire school year.
Mentors need to be in good academic standing and maintain their attendance to all classes.
Mentors will be asked to collaborate and communicate with their mentor team and FMP coordinator via GroupMe and Google Classroom.
Mentors will be required to help with other school events such as Freshman Orientation and Future Freshman Night.
