2021-22 College and Career Visits (Responses)

From the Organizers:

Hello Dublin HS,

It is such a pleasure to invite your students to Davis Women in Business’s (DWIB) first ever high school outreach program. We ask that you share the details of our outreach program with your students.

First, let me introduce our organization. Davis Women in Business is an on-campus student organization at UC Davis, who is committed to fulfilling the professional and personal goals of its members. We are a tight-knit community full of motivated and like-minded individuals. The External Relations board is a new addition to the club. External Relations’ purpose is to serve the community around us through the allocation of DWIB’s resources. If you would like to learn more about our club, please check out our website!

Our goal for this program is to provide high school students with knowledge and skills on how to succeed in both the college and professional world. Beyond learning valuable skills, we want to inspire the younger generation to go out and become the leaders of tomorrow. Students will have the opportunity to hear from real world professionals as well as the personal experiences of current college students.

We will host 8 workshops over the course of 6 months via Zoom that are focused on business-centric topics - professionalism, career exploration, interview prep, resume 101, etc. This program is open to anyone who is interested. Our workshops will be hosted by current DWIB members and guest speakers will consist mainly of DWIB alumni. A flyer will be attached to this email with the specific workshops and their dates and time. We would greatly appreciate it if you could print out this flyer and display it around campus for students to see.

  • Workshop 1: All Things College - October 28th, Thursday 7:00-7:45pm
