The needs of our class are pretty simple!
Blue and/or black ink pens (we do not use pencils much in English)
Different color pens for marking and correcting
Binder
Loose leaf paper (college ruled)
Folder to hold returned work and handouts
optional:
page flags, tabs or sticky notes
wireless (or corded) mouse for the classroom laptops. They have thumbpads but a mouse might be more comfortable to use.
earbuds in case there is audio associated with a program on the laptop.
