Ms. Marla Hester

My name is Marla Hester and I will be your child’s teacher this school year. The two wonderful paraprofessionals who are also excited to be working with your child are Jen Holaday and Ashlie Forsbach. We hope to have a positive impact on your child’s educational development and learning and hope we too can work together as a team to meet all your child’s needs and yours. Your child’s educational future is in all of our hands.

  • If you have any questions or concerns about your child at any time, please feel free to email me at hester_marla@dublinschools.net. I will return email as soon as possible. We are very excited about sharing a wonderful school year with your child and you.

About our Classroom:

This year will be full of fun and exciting learning experiences for your child. The classroom curriculum is intended to provide meaningful, concrete lessons which will address your child’s needs. Our Curriculum is broken down into 3 Trimester “I can” statements. They were written for each portion of the school year through Learning Units in a developmentally appropriate sequence and are tied to the standards. I generally base my units or themes around your child’s world, what’s happening outside and around them, the different seasons, and the beginning of pre-academics. I throughout the year teach and/or review their numbers, letters, shapes, colors and personal information (such as name recognition, age and birthday). Also, I am very literature based and will incorporate what we’ve read into activities and ideas in the room. I do try extremely hard to meet the needs of all the children in the classroom and try to challenge the high and adapt and modify materials and activities where needed to meet the needs of all developmental levels.
