End of the Year Information

End of Year Auction - Thursday May 26th

End of Year Luncheon - Thursday May 26th (Students who did not purchase a Chick-fil-A lunch will need to buy or pack a lunch. All students will need to provide their own drink.)

Last Day of School - Friday May 27th

Mr. Leary (Math 6): Students will complete the Statistics Project by following the statistical process: formulate a question, collect data, analyze the data and interpret the data. The project is due Monday, May 23. Each week, students will be required to complete 2 Mathia workspaces or 40 minutes due on Tuesday evenings.

Ms. Lucas (Math 7): We will continue our look at geometry by looking three-dimensional shapes. Each week, students will be required to complete 2 Mathia workspaces or 40 minutes due on Tuesdays evenings.

Mr. Leary (Math 7/8): We will continue working on Linear Relationships.

Mrs. Sestili: We will be starting our final unit of the year on Energy and Motion. This week we will be learning about different types of Energy (potential and kinetic) and identifying what type of energy different materials have based on their location, and what they are made up of.

Mrs. Miller: MAP testing on Tuesday! In Reading Workshop this week we will continue our Verse Book Clubs with the focus of character's relationships and how it may impact the plot. For Writing we are continuing to work on our Where I am From poem.


Mrs. Morris: The lead story this week is READING MAP TESTING on Tuesday and Wednesday. Please be sure to charge the Chromebooks and their bodies the night before! Also this week in Reading we are completing our Books in Verse Book Clubs and moving to Independent Reading. In writing, we are applying our knowledge of writing craft moves to Ode Poems and starting our last round of Independent Word Study.


Mrs. Jesenovec: Students will compete in their final Survivor challenges that relate to our Economics unit.
