BUILDING ANNOUNCEMENTS
MISSING ASSIGNMENTS
As the school year begins its last week, please help your students check each course in Schoology for missing work and encourage them to submit the work.
We would like for each student to end the school year on a positive note with their work completed and submitted!
RLA 6 VIRTUAL YEARBOOK AND TALENT SHOWCASE
We are missing some students' slides for our virtual yearbook. Please encourage your student to participate.
To help commemorate this school year, RLA 6 is creating a Virtual Yearbook and Talent Showcase presentation for each school.
Each RLA 6 student has the opportunity to create a virtual yearbook slide and a virtual talent showcase slide.
The slides for each student will be added to a team presentation.
Students have access to the slide templates and more information about the slides in their team Schoology courses.
LAST day to turn in slides is Tuesday, May 25, 2021.
Please help remind your students to complete and submit their slide or slides so they may be included!
RLA 6 CERTIFICATES
6th graders earn the Page award certificate if they earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher as averaged over the first 3 quarters.
GMS students who earned a Page certificate received an email from Mrs. Pack with instructions for picking up the certificate.
KMS students may pick up their certificates on Saturday, May 22, 2021. Please check Schoology for more information.

CHROME BOOK - SHUT DOWN
Please log out and SHUT DOWN your Chromebook and not just close it at least once a week.
Let it remain shut down for at least 1 hour or even better while you sleep tonight.
The shut down allows the computer to update itself so it runs more efficiently.
DCS VIRTUAL CALMING ROOM
Need a brain break? Need a place to virtually chillax and zone out for a few minutes?
Take a moment to check out our DCS Virtual Calming Room. You will find live animal cameras, online coloring books, and visual relaxation videos, to name a few.
Cameras and Google Meet - Please encourage your student to turn on the camera on Google Meet during classes. It is difficult to know if a student is on task or is understanding the material when the camera is turned off. Google Meet is releasing a new feature to blur the background that is being pushed out through the next few days.
If your family is experiencing hardship, please see THIS FLYER with information about support available within the Dublin community.
Students published their TED Talk videos to our google site and got a chance to watch other presentations. 🎉We did a thinking routine called "Connect, Extend, Challenge" where students shared connections to what they already know, how the videos extended their thinking, and what challenged their thinking. Next week, we are spending our last few classes focusing on creative writing to generate ideas for free writing this summer. Thank you for all of your support this year. It's been a true pleasure working with your child!
