All of our students are unique and contribute to our school and community in different ways. We believe it is important to recognize students that strive to do their personal best and or participate in our society in ways that are meaningful. Each quarter the Dallas High School Parent Teacher Student Organization recognizes four (4) of our students for his or her accomplishments in one of the areas described below. Students may be nominated by any member of the community including, but not limited to, teachers, students, family, neighbors, coaches, administrators, clergy and business and community members.


Students can be nominated in general or for one of the four categories listed below. Upon review of the ANNYOMOUS OR SIGNED ballots, the selection committee (comprised of at least a teacher, student, guidance counselor and community member) will match the candidates to a particular category.

STUDENT ACHIEVER AWARD

This award is presented to the student who demonstrated achieving his/her personal best. Example: Substantially bringing up grade averages performance of a special task or has accomplished an exceptional goal.

SCHOOL SPIRIT AWARD

This award is presented to the student that who promotes and/or participates in activities that promote the students, unity, achievements and school district.

CREATIVE STUDENT AWARD

This award is presented to the student through whatever medium, exhibits exceptional creative ability. Examples of performances may be writing, speaking, dance, art, technology, photography, graphics, home economics or creativity of a different source.

CITIZEN STUDENT AWARD

This award is presented to the student who participates in community service projects either In or out of school and/or is involved in "random acts of kindness".
