ACUTE STROKE UNIT

An Acute Stroke Unit (ASU) is a specialized hospital unit designed for patients who have just had a stroke. It's basically an ER specifically for strokes. The goal is to provide fast and coordinated care to give the patient the best chance of recovery. 

This unit are staffed by medical professionals trained in stroke treatment, and they have special equipment to diagnose and treat strokes quickly.
