Using the pre-bid feature is very simple, when adding an auction item to your inventory just select PreBid under the Type category.
As soon as you publish your stream, the pre-bid auction item will appear in your stream’s inventory and buyers can begin to bid on it. As shown in the image below, this pre-bid item has a current bid of $5.00 and shows the auction end time (aka your stream’s start time) and the user with the winning bid.
Be sure to promote your published stream on your socials to drive traffic to your stream so that people can get those pre-bids in! Also, it’s a great way to get viewers to RSVP to your stream as well!
Once you have started your stream, bidding will end for the auction item set to PreBid. Not to worry though, the action is just getting started! Looking at the item in your auction inventory you can see the highest bidder of the item as shown in the picture on the left. Clicking on the item brings up a window showing the item’s bidding history through PreBid.
Starting the auction in your stream has the item begin at the amount pre-bidding ended at. For this example, the item shown had pre-bids ending at $5.00 so this is the amount it will begin at, live in your stream. It also shows the current winner or the person who last bid during pre-bid. Now, let the live bidding wars commence!
Please note that the pre-bid auction will need to be started by the seller for the auction to be completed.
