I have lived in Atlanta my whole life. I enjoy drawing, playing games, rock climbing, making music, spending time with my family, spending time with my pets, swimming, being in nature, practicing mindfulness, and reading. I sell my artwork using the print-on-demand service RedBubble. I have experience as an intern for NASA and Fresh Films.
I hope to achieve happiness and success in life. I would like to have a career that I enjoy and that benefits the world. I plan on accomplishing these goals by pursuing my interests and attending college.
drawing, painting, digital art, graphic design
composing, playing keyboard, listening, sound design
board games with family, video games with family, friends or by myself
movies, television, animation, cinematography, editing
I love many different art forms because they all use math, design, engineering and language (some of my other interests) to create emotional power and impact the world. I'm also very interested in newer technologies such as virtual reality and the potential to create experiences no one has had before.
caring for pets, volunteering at shelters and sanctuaries, ending factory farming
restoring and conserving ecosystems, sustainable design, reforming energy
reducing inequality, war; improving education, healthcare, housing
physics, astronomy, biology, computer science, mathematics
These are the areas where I really want to make a difference within my life and after it. All of these issues are connected, and I will continue learning about them and do my best to act on them.
In 2024, I took a virtual dual enrollment course teaching the fundamentals of visual design. Throughout the course, I learned to analyze art styles and made various art and design projects inspired by them, presenting my work in a slideshow every week. This was challenging but a great opportunity to grow as an artist.
Songs For Kids is a nonprofit which helps kids and young adults with illnesses, disabilities and disorders by giving them music-related experiences for free.
Since 2022, I have been learning to compose songs, play various instruments, and use Logic Pro at the Songs For Kids Center. I performed keyboard and vocals on stage in two fundraiser concerts. I've also gotten to meet musicians and ask them for their advice.
In 2023, I interned for NASA through their program for neurodivergent teens (N3). I analyzed solar flare data to predict how successful the satellite DAISI will be at observing flares in 2033.
I learned many things from this experience: My mentor spoke about her journey from studying physics in college to launching rockets for NASA, I learned how solar flares impact life and the safety of space travel, and I gained experience with Helioviewer and SolarMonitor. Because of this project, I have a greater appreciation of the importance of science.
In 2023 and 2024, I participated in Fresh Films Weekly Filmmaking, an after school program at Drew. Each year, I collaborated with other students on several projects, ranging from music videos to narrative shorts to documentaries. I had the chance to speak with industry professionals from Roku and Fremantle, as well as the professional musicians for whom we created music videos.
I have toured and applied to multiple colleges including Beacon College, University of Tennessee Chattanooga, and Oglethorpe University. Right now I am considering the Beacon College Foundations program at Cumberland Academy for my first year, then transferring to another college.
