First we glued the paper to the wood. Than we put on our safety glasses/goggles . Next we cut the out the wood. Last we put a triangle so we know which one is ours.

Today we learned how to use the planer saw. First Ms. Ruffin gave us a demonstration on how to use the saw. Then she let some of us practice by ourselves. When used the planer saw we had to feed the wood through it twice on all four sides of the wood so it can be even, we also had to adjust the blades using the adjusting knob to the height of the wood . Last we just vacuum the wood and sweep any extra wood on the floor.

Today I learned how to use the miter saw. First I had to use the planer saw to smooth the wood. Then I measured nine inches off of the wood. After that I used the miter saw too cut the wood. Then I used the wood glue to glue the pieces together, I also used the clamps to keep the two pieces together. Last I swept, vacuumed, and put my project away.
Today w used the miter saw to cut off the extra piece of wood.

Today we used the orbital sander to sand our bandsaw boxes. First some of us had to go outside to sand our boxes, we had to sand all six sides of the box.
Ms.Ruffin used a cricut to cut the vinyl then I cut out the letters with and exacto knife. After I spray paint my name.

Today I glued the base and the sides of my bandsaw box
Before bandsaw is the single block of wood. The after is were we cut off about 3/8 of an inch of wood on the sides and the top.

The planer saw is used to even out the surface of a piece of wood. Its also used to strip your wood of any unwanted stain

This sketch is what I want my coaster to look like . The coaster will be a 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 square . My coaster has six sections with pine being the second, forth, and sixth pieces of wood and walnut as the first, third, and fifth pieces of wood.

Today I cut and glued my three pieces of pine and walnut wood together after cutting them with the table saw.
Today I cut my four coasters into 3 3/4 inch pieces. I used the band saw to cut out extra wood and the table saw to cut the coasters.
