Chemvas

My artistic Idol I did in the 10th grade. The goal for this project  was to create a piece  based on artists I chose. The artists I based my piece off of were Junji Ito and Tim Burton. I chose these two artists because  they have inspired me to become an artist myself. For this project I researched some of their pieces and sketched out a couple different ways I wanted the final project to look. I asked for some feedback from some of my classmates and used it to make my project better. For the final piece I wanted to make it as creepy as possible. I learned through this project to make as many test pieces as possible to make sure the final piece came out the way I envisioned it to be.

Borax is a powdery white substance, also known as sodium borate 

Boron, united with oxygen and soda.

Supersaturated contains more than the maximum amount of dissolved solute than the solvent is able to dissolve at a given temperature.

The borax starts to crystalize  because the water temperature can't keep the borax supersaturated 

How my sculpture is dynamic is I tried to make it look like an amethyst crystal
