PBL Change is Gonna Come: Guernica Project
This project is our rendition of Picasso's "Guernica" for this PBL project, our entire class were split into several groups, each group given a specific shape based on Picasso's painting and illustrate a modern world problem onto it. We learned cubism techniques and studied aspects of art to create it.

This is our piece of the whole illustration.
For some backstory on the Guernica, Picasso painted it in response to the bombing of civilians in the Spanish Civil War.
I think my art is an incredibly compelling piece that combines the elements of chemistry and visual arts into a typographic illustration.

The paint that I believe is the most dense are probably the darker paints like black and red. Not only were they slow moving, but they took over most of my canvas even though I hadn't put a big amout. The paint I believe were the least dense were the brighter colors like yellow because of the lack of color in my art, even though majority of what I used were bright tones.
It's all Elementary: Our assignment was to illustrate our assigned element from the periodic table using the knowledge of digital tools we’ve learned in class. My element is Helium, I did my best attempt in order to demonstrate this using the research I learned. 40% of our universe is helium, this inspired me to do something involving space, and probably the most common or known usage of helium involves balloons. I combined these two aspects into one image, it may not make proper sense for a hot-air balloon to be in space but it’s intended to show it’s natural environment and our usage of it. One difficulty I experienced was the actual illustration, it was hard trying to show perspective but I believe in the end it payed off.

For our Geometry Final, our assignment was to create a stained glass product that demonstrates our understanding of the geometric vocabulary that we have learned throughout the first semester. The inspiration for our design was the summertime. The elements of art we tried to utilize were line, because we wanted bold lines, texture, to enhance the artwork, and eye-catching colors. The principles of design that we used are emphasis, which we utilized with color, balance, to give a symmetrical feel, and pattern to help reinforce our usage of balance. The Columbian Exchange Project
The Columbian Exchange Project
The Columbian exchange is a transfer of animals, plants, cultures, and especially diseases from the Eastern hemisphere to the Western. There are many defining events that caused the onset of this exchange, one of them being the arrival of Christopher Columbus to the Caribbean in 1492. Some examples of goods transferred include turkey, potatoes, and corn, all of which were transferred to the East. On the other hand, chickens, cattle, bananas, and even apples were all originally Eastern goods transferred to the West. Our project was to prepare a meal using ingredients strictly from our assigned hemisphere. This project required teamwork and quick thinking, as we didn't know who are group members were minutes before the project. I helped my group with the cutting of potatoes and I helped to prepare the turkey bacon that I brought.
