Sydney Berenson

Spanish Language and Culture Program- Sevilla, Spain 2019

About Me....

My name is Sydney Berenson and I was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. I currently attend the Charles R. Drew Charter school and will attend my post-secondary education at The College of Wooster, where I want to pursue a career in archaeology. I enjoy activities such as teaching, cooking, traveling and exploring new cultures, outdoor activities, and learning different languages! My personal mission statement is "Live Life To The Fullest". We have a whole world to explore and to be curious of, which is why I want to immerse myself in different cultures and lands!

…Goals...

I hope to pursue a career in archaeology or anthropology after attending The College of Wooster. Additionally, I would love to continue to expand my Spanish skills so I can become a fluent speaker, and learn both Hebrew and Gaelic if possible. These career choices will allow me to learn about other cultures and travel around the world to gain new perspectives that will be life-changing.

Post-Secondary Education

I will be attending The College of Wooster this fall and I am interested in pursuing Archaeology. Wooster is one of the only schools in the country to have an Archaeology program that is separate from its Anthropology department. It is not only an outstanding program but also has an amazing set of faculty that teaches a variety of Archaeological subfields such as Middle Eastern and Northern African Studies, Ancient Mesopotamia studies, and Climate Change through Archaeology. I am thrilled to be continuing my educational journey at Wooster and look forward to see where the future takes me! Go Scots!!!
