A pinch pot is a simple form of hand-made pottery. In this project, my class used white clay and discussed the steps on how to create a pinch pot. We first created a sketch and then molded the actual piece. After that, the pinch pot was put in the kiln and then painted. I decided to add in a pattern and use two different textured glazes to create diversity in the piece. This project was fun and easy, which made it a great way to start the school year!

Coiling is a method of creating pottery, where the artist rolls the clay into long coils and then connects them. In this project, my class designed a vintage camera using the coiling method. I decided to create a Minolta 7s Camera, which I first sketched and then molded the clay. After that, I put it in the kiln, and once it was done, I painted it.
