"Beautiful Wilderness" by Sydney Berenson

This woodwork is a representation of the beautiful wilderness that awaits. I started this process by finding scraps of wood and began to see aspects of nature within the textures. I then arranged them and began to see a beautiful mountain landscape and a luscious forest emerge. I wanted to keep the woodworking organic, which is why I decided to only enhance the beauty of the wood by using the technique of wood-burning and staining. I chose to include natural twigs within my project to keep the authenticity of the branches. I hope that the viewer will find the beauty in the wilderness as I have.
