What I made
Description; CNC routers are machines used to cut shapes into types of materials, such as wood, plastic, and aluminum. Before using the machine make sure to zero the CNC router. If you use the wrong size for the cut it will fail so make sure to use the right size. Make sure to test your design before you start using the machine to ensure you do not have a mishap. You also need to clamp your materials down to prevent them to move while being cut. To create your design you need to use CAD. Then Insert the details into CAM. The software we used for CAD is called VCarve Pro and the CAM software we used is Shopbot.
Planer Saw
Wear Safety Goggles
Adjust the cutting thickness to within 1/16" of the material thickness prior to cutting
unplug when finished
attach the vacuum before use
Don't put fingers in the opening
Don't pass any material other than wood through the planer
Don't pass wood with nails/screws through the planer
A planer saw is a machine used to make wood boards smoother. You need to push the wood through the opening to smoothen the board. When your board comes out the machine it'll have a smooth texture.

What I made
We used the miter saw to cut our piece of wood into 5 pieces of 9 1/2 inches and 2 3 3/4 inches
Biscuit Joiner
Rules
Wear safety glasses
Don't put your finger near the blade
Don't move it while the biscuit joiner is running
Keep the biscuit joiner flat and aligned with the lines you drew.
How to use
You line it up on the object you're cutting, then turn the biscuit joiner on, start moving it up into the object you're cutting, and lastly, you take it off the object you were cutting into.
What I made
This is the result of using the biscuit joiner to connect the two pieces, then gluing them with wood glue, and then using clamper to keep them in place.

Keep the sand paper away from your hand

How to use
The sander is used to smoothen your wood. To use it you press the power button, then level the sander on the wood, then sand as much as you want. Lastly, you turn it off and put it up.

How to use
You open the tube then slightly dip a t-shirt in it and spread it along the wood. After that, you would use as much as you would like and let it dry

Edge-Lit Lamp Light
Brief: Today we learned that we are going to use the skills to develop and create a Edge-Lit Lamp Light . The product can be a window light, a desktop light, or a night light. We will need to design a base and an acrylic graphic. We will use and demonstrate mastery of the design process and other skills we have developed using inkscape.

Research Edge Lit Lamp Display
This lit-lamp light has my birthday displayed with a drawn on birthday cake. I chose this because it would look very nice to have a light up sign of my birthday in my room.
Soldering
Soldering is a process to connect electronic components. This process works by using a hot solder tool to melt the solder on the wire to keep it on there forever.

After we soldered our wires we used Arduino to program them. To do this we went to tools, manage libraries, and downloaded adafruit neopixel.. Then, we modified the code of adafruit into the pattern we like.

Tinker CAD: Cartoon Customization
For this project we created a 3d cartoon character in tinker cad. For my character I picked bb8 from starwars the reason I picked this character is because I like how cool they look and how funny they look. The hardest part for me was making the ring around the head.

My Inkscape design is based on Rosa Parks. Rosa Louise McCauley Parks was a black activist in the civil rights movement best known for her role in the Montgomery bus boycott. The United States Congress has honored her as "the first lady of civil rights" and "the mother of the freedom movement" . A challenge I faced while making my design was the image. The easy part of this assignment was putting the box/stand toghether. I faced a long struggle of trial and error since I wanted multiple images, but in the end, I chose a portrait of her. If I had full creative freedom what I make next time is an anniversary gift for my parents.
Laser cutter
A laser cutting uses a laser to cut through materials. While typically used in industrial manufacturing, it is now used by schools, small businesses, architecture, and hobbyists. Laser cutting works by directing the output of a high-power laser through optics. The laser optics and CNC (computer numerical control) are used to direct the material or the laser beam generated.
Materials used
The materials used are a LED strip, wires, wire cutters, a motherboard, a solder, electrical tape, card board, acrylic glass, hot glue, and a laser cutter.
Mother's Day Gift: Photo Collage Cube
Brief/Problem: Create a mother's day gift for any mother-figure in our lives. A photo cube holding some of your dearest memories with that person. Most freshmen do not have jobs, therefore can not afford an expensive or luxurious gift for this upcoming mother's day. The main goal is to make an affordable and meaningful gift.

Fruit Bouquet
My mom loves fruit and she also loves flowers, So a creative gift for her is a flower boquet. Its a nice and pretty gift but sadly it wont last longer than a week.
Chocolate Strawberries
My mom is a very big fan of chocolate and strawberries. Thus she would be overjoyed If I bought her a box of chocolate strawberries.

Idea Development
Prototype
Cut Out Frames
First, we calculated all of the correct measurements for the box and cut-outs. Then used a scroll saw and a laser cutter to cut all of our pieces out of our sheet of wood.
Assembly and Stain
After all of the pieces were prepared, we used wood glue to assemble our box. Once the box was dry enough, I chose a stain and stained the wood. Now the box was ready to receive acrylic and images.

Scroll Saw
The scroll saw was used to cute out the big squares from the sheet of wood.
Laser Cutter
The laser cutter cut out the squares within the larger squares. Made the place where photos would go.

Sand paper helps to perfect any mistakes or rough edges, ensures an overall clean and professional look.
