We learned the 5 components of fitness so we could set up our own fitness plans. The five components of fitness are muscular strength, muscular endurance, Cardiovascular endurance, Flexibility, and Body composition. In order to be what we define as fit for ourselves we need to know what component to work on to meet that goal.
This taught me what I need to work on so that I could get more fit than I am now. This taught me that being fit is more than just strength and that other things could factor into strength besides the normal things.
